Ritz-Carlton will sell fractional ownership in Vail residences

The Ritz-Carlton Development Co. will begin selling fractional ownerships in its Vail project early next year, the company said Monday.

The Ritz-Carlton Club is a membership club going up at the developer's Ritz-Carlton Residences project at the base of Vail Mountain in Lions Head Village.

The company will sell a one-twelfth interest in the proposed 45 residences. Ritz-Carlton Residences will have 110 two- to six-bedroom units. The Ritz-Carlton Club will have two-, three- and four-bedroom units ranging from 1,300 square feet to 2,874 square feet. Each will have a view of Vail Mountain.

4240 Architecture of Denver designed the residences. Construction has begun, with occupancy scheduled for late 2010.

The developer is an affiliate of The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. LLC.

"The members spoke, and we listened to their request for a Ritz-Carlton Club in this stunning mountain setting," Peter Watzka, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Ritz-Carlton Development, said in a statement.
